Ting Hwee Minn Samantha

This artwork is a response towards the artist's grandfather losing his usual cheeriness since he was diagnosed with cancer several years ago. Although he has recovered, the artist wants to show how the progression of sickness can take away the vitality and life of a person. This is shown through how the tumour takes over the stomach, sucking out the life of the patient in the process to fuel its own growth, eventually spilling out of its confines of the organ to spread further out within the body.
