This artwork explores the idea of identity, specifically the artist's inner world. Using the style of Surrealism, subject matters that do not belong in the same world are being placed into the same place, portraying fantasy in a dream-like setting. As an idealist, the artist always aspires for things to go her way but often, in reality, they do not. It is ironic as what appears in her dreams refelcts a spiritual world that she has built, and meanwhile reality hits her hard as if saying to her, "in your dreams".
