Security Blankets is a family tapestry inspired by the artist's grandmother's story of struggle and sacrifice to gain financial security in her youth. The artist attempts to examine how her grandmother's sacrifices have given her the consequential security she now enjoys. This is expressed through the gate at the top, depicting the confinement initially faced, to the tapestry of security blanket at the bottom, the comfort endowed upon the future generations.
