Kieran Al Khaliff Bin Mohsen

"Love + Loss", 2020

Acrylic on canvas

60.96cm X 91.44cm

A recreation of the mythology of the Greek goddess Persephone, the artwork shows the effects of love and the willingness to sacrifice oneself to attain it. As love comes at a price, the cost may be one's own life or more. Yet despite the sacrifice, the outcome may not be everlasting. As a result, one begins to wilt away along with that same fleeting love.
