Study of Angels presents the subject of the Bible's angelic beings in almost Lovecraftianesque form, frozen in mid-flight and framed against a background of dynamic swirling lines suggestive of wind. The use of thin, brown paper and dark hatching ink echoes drawings and studies from 16th century Europe. The artwork aims to capture the unfathomable and awestriking nature of heavenly beings.
