Heart of the Matter seeks to depict the intimate process of heartbreak. The artwork uses the irony of a porcelain human heart, meant to be physically strong, being shattered to illustrate its figurative fragility. Yet, the work attempts to illustrate the hope in strength, in being partly pieced back together. It seeks to send the message that the strongest love is one that is fragile at the same.
