Micro-cosmic, 2020

Plastic sculptures, fluorescent paint, box lined with mirrors, UV LED strips

80cm X 50cm X 50cm

Through Micro-cosmic, the artist aims to give viewers a window into the expanse of life in the ocean by showing that many minuscule organisms live in this space and implore them to contemplate our place in such a complex world. The mirrors that reflect ethereally glowing abstracts of marine microbes create an infinite universe within a small box, and in turn, induces feelings of curiousity and wonderment at the unknown that the ocean can spark.
