Stretching your eyes ,2020

Impasto, oil, watercolour, gouache, turpentine on watercolour canvas

50cm X 2cm X 30cm

This artwork illustrates the struggle and fear of not being able to wake up from a sleep paralysis episode. Just like taking off and putting on clothes every day, this artwork highlights the fact that we take for granted that we can wake up every morning. Sleep paralysis amplifies the fear of death by introducing the lack of control, where one's mind is conscious but the body is not.
